Allison Williams (Get Out) is diving into the twisted world of Blumhouse once again. She’s signed on to star in and executive produce Blumhouse’s upcoming tech horror-thriller M3GAN.
James Wan came up with the story for M3GAN, which was written by Akela Cooper (Hell Fest). The plot centres around Gemma (Williams), a brilliant roboticist at a toy company who uses artificial intelligence to develop M3GAN, a lifelike doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s great ally. After unexpectedly gaining custody of her orphaned niece, Gemma enlists the help of the M3GAN prototype—a decision that has unimaginable consequences…
Wan’s Atomic Monster will produce M3GAN for Universal. Gerard Johnstone (Housebound) will direct.
