Even though “The Next Chapter” is not the most exciting or original of sequel names, we’re still excited to see the sequel to 47 Metres Down next year, because the first film was so damn nail-biting.
As the first trailer reminds us, last summer brought us a skin-prickling and a terrifyingly tense tale of 2 girls trapped in a shark cage 47 metres below the ocean’s surface. The Next Chapter will be a whole new story, following a group of divers who soon learn they’re not alone when diving around an underwater city.
Johannes Roberts will return to direct after helming the first film and, also, this year’s fun sequel The Strangers: Prey at Night.
