The first teaser trailer has just dropped for Dracula, the BBC and Netflix’s new three-part mini-series based on Bram Stoker’s classic gothic horror novel.
You know the plot. It’s the 1890s and a certain Count with a taste for blood is lurking around Transylvania drawing his devilish plans against Victorian London. While the scariest part of the teaser for me is the phrase “from the makers of Sherlock,” it does look like there’s plenty of spooky goings-on to be found in what could be a fun retelling.
Danish actor Claes Bang (The Girl in the Spider’s Web) plays the Count in this iteration, starring alongside John Heffernan (Ripper Street), Morfydd Clark (Saint Maud), Dolly Wells (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), Joanna Scanlan, and Lujza Richter. The episodes will be directed by Johnny Campbell, Damon Thomas, and Paul McGuigan respectively.
Dracula will sink its teeth into your viewing schedule sometime in late 2019 or early 2020. Get a taste with the first teaser below.
