The Walking Dead universe continues to expand! AMC has officially greenlit Tales of the Walking Dead, an anthology series that’s slated to release in the summer of 2022.
The first season of Tales of the Walking Dead will contain six one-hour episodes featuring box new and existing characters. The series will be showrun by Channing Powel, who has been a writer and producer on both The Walking Dead and another spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead.
In addition to Tales of the Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, the popular zombie show (which will conclude its final season in 2022) has inspired The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Yet another spinoff, this one focused on the characters of Carol and Daryl, is also in the works.
