A new trailer has been released for the supernatural chiller Don’t Knock Twice, which sees a guilt-ridden mother desperately trying to reconnect with a daughter she was forced to place in care. The pair must together confront a vengeful witch, which sounds like the perfect relationship-building exercise if you ask us.
Check out the trailer below, which shows plenty of the chills and spills that Don’t Knock Twice is eager to unleash, including a Sadako-esque crawl from a sink and a Grudge-like croak, as well as demon mythology and a long-fingered shadow that could possibly be the Babadook. It’s certainly wearing its inspirations on its sleeve, but we’re excited to see if Don’t Knock Twice can bring something new to horror and prove that 2017 can be beat 2016’s brilliant genre offering.
Don’t Knock Twice has been directed by Caradog W. James (The Machine) and stars Katee Sackhoff, Lucy Boynton and Javier Botet. The film will be released on VOD on 3rd February, before hitting cinemas in the UK on 31st March.
