Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark will be released in the summer of 2019, so you’ll be able to delve into those familiar spooky tales quite soon, indeed.
As the film is directed by The Autopsy of Jane Doe and Trollhunter’s Andre Ovredal, we’re expecting a truly chilling adaptation of the books that were released between 1981 and 1991. The trilogy of novels featured over 80 short stories including The Haunted House, The Ghost with Bloody Fingers and The Dead Hand. They’re all unique and twisted tales, so we can’t wait to see them on the big screen.
The film adaptation has been produced by The Shape of Water’s Guillermo del Toro, so we’re hoping for a visually arresting feature filled with gruesome, but gorgeous, monstrous creations.
Look out Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark in 2019.
