An array of imagery has been unleashed from Voice from the Stone; a thriller starring Emilia Clarke and set in 1950s Tuscany. The images are exquisite and showcase the film’s gorgeous exterior with sumptuous set design and cinematography. If the rest of the film is as beautiful as this, then we could be in for an extremely pleasing and haunting ghost story.
Synopsis:
Voice From the Stone tells the story of Verena, a determined young nurse who is hired to help the mute young heir within. But the more she observes him, the more Verena becomes convinced he has fallen under the spell of a powerful and otherworldly persona trapped in the villa’s stone walls, one that seems to be rapidly entwining with her own.
Voice from the Stone comes from director Eric D. Howell, who was behind 2002’s From Heaven to Hell. He directs a script written by Christopher Taber, who also worked on the aforementioned 2002 film. The cast additionally stars Marton Csokas, Caterina Murino, Kate Linder, Lisa Gastoni and Remo Girone.
Based on the 2007 novel written by Silvio Raffo, Voice from the Stone will be released on VOD on 28th April 2017 in the USA.
