STUART GORDON’S MEMOIR TO BE PUBLISHED POSTHUMOUSLY IN JULY

Posted on: April 6th, 2023

Back in march of 2020, as the world closed and we all sheltered in place, the horror community lost one of its king-pins.

Stuart Gordon died of multiple organ failure on March 24th 2020 at the age of 72. Although his last industry work was twelve years earlier, Gordon remained a fixture on the horror scene with his multiple documentary appearances and his contributions to high-profile home media releases.

Now the Re-Animator director will see his final work released to the public in the form of a memoir he’d been working on for quite some time.

Naked Theatre and Uncensored Horror will not only cover Gordon’s filmmaking career, but also discuss his love of anything cinematic at great length. With the backing of the Gordon family, Fab Press presents a look into the director’s personal life, most intimate thoughts and his life-long fascination with the big screen.

“In this engaging candid memoir, horror legend Stuart Gordon gives a vivid account of his remarkable journey, from a student manning the barricades during the civil unrest of the 1960s, via an infamous stint as an experimental theater maverick, to ultimately becoming an iconic figure in cult cinema.”

No doubt featuring many anecdotes from his calling card projects Re-Animator, From Beyond, Dolls, Body Snatchers and Castle Freak, this book is a must for genre fans.

Set to release on July 20th 2023, Gordon’s memoir will be available from all good media outlets as well as being up for pre-order via the Fab Press website.
