As we reported last month, Showtime is bringing back Dexter for a limited series revival—and some plot details have just been revealed.
Set 10 years after bloodstain pattern analyst and serial killer Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, the 10-episode revival will see the character living under an assumed name a world away from Miami. Clyde Phillips, who is returning as showrunner, has also teased that this is a great opportunity to “write a second finale”—which will no doubt please the many fans who felt unsatisfied with the then-final season’s lacklustre ending.
What’s more, we’ve also learned that Marcos Siega, who previously directed nine episodes of the show, will be helming six of the new episodes. Siega will also serve as an executive producer.
Dexter is expected to slash his way back onto our screens sometime in the autumn of 2021.
