SpectreVision to Produce Lucas Amann’s ‘Popsicle’

Posted on: May 19th, 2016

Elijah Wood’s SpectreVision will be producing Popsicle; a film that follows a couple of children who wake up in an underground labyrinth, which has been designed by a lunatic that loves everything to do with kids. When speaking about the film, Elijah Wood said, “Ever since we were introduced to the psychedelic technicolor world of Lucas’ Popsicle, we have been dedicated to bringing his pure and disturbing vision to life. ‘Daddy’ is a twisted new iconic horror villain to ooze into our collective nightmares.”

It sounds like a very interesting premise that reminds us of ‘80s slashers like Tobe Hooper’s The Funhouse, as well as a twisted version of Labyrinth or The Goonies. If the film can translate this ‘psychedelic’ idea to the big screen then we could, certainly, be in for a visual treat and a brand new face in horror villainy.

Popsicle will be directed by Lucas Amann.
