Why have one day of Halloween when you can have two whole months? That’s Shudder’s approach with its bumper 61 Days of Halloween, which got underway on September 1st and continues right through October 31st—and the line-up is all treats, no tricks.
Among the Shudder original and exclusive films heading our way are director Brandon Christensen’s Superhost (which dropped September 2nd), director Ruth Platt’s Martyrs Lane (premiering September 9th), director Simon’s Barrett’s Seance (premiering September 29th), the new V/H/S film V/H/S/94 (premiering October 6th), Shutter director Banjong Pisanthanakun’s The Medium (premiering October 14th), and anthology film Horror Noire (premiering October 28th).
We’re also being treated to the third season of Creepshow (premiering September 23rd), a fourth season of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula (premiering October 19th), and a new original docu-series called Behind the Monsters (premiering October 27th). In the meantime, you can also catch new episodes of Slasher: Flesh & Blood every Thursday through September 16th.
Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without a new Last Drive-In special, and Shudder is delivering the goods with Joe Bob’s Halloween Hoedown. The special will air live on October 8th starting at 9pm ET and will be available on demand from October 10th.
You’ll also be able to call the Halloween Hotline every Friday in October between 3 and 4pm ET to get personalized horror film recommendations from Sam Zimmerman, Shudder’s head of programming. And if you just want to soak in the Halloween atmosphere, Shudder’s Ghoul Log will return with an all-new jack-o’-lantern, streaming 24/7 from October 1st.
