A remake of Hyeok-su Lee’s 1986 film Woman’s Wail (aka Yeogokseong, aka Cry of the Woman), Shudder’s The Wrath will debut on the streaming service on September 5th—and the trailer promises some elegant scares.
Starring Hong-il Choi, Young hee Seo, and Na-Eun Son, this supernatural horror film is set in 14th-century Korea. After a curse kills all the sons of the kingdom’s highest-ranking official, his pregnant widow is forced to face both a vengeful spirit and vicious family politics.
