Coming-of-age survival horror series Yellowjackets is returning to our screens for a second season in March—and it won’t be the last! Showtime has already renewed the hit series for a third season.
Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets charts the trials and tribulations of a wildly talented high school girl soccer team who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the Canadian wilderness. Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci, and Juliette Lewis star.
“With Yellowjackets’ runaway success in season one and the pent-up anticipation for season two, we wanted to maximize the momentum by fast tracking season three now,” Chris McCarthy, President and CEO of Showtime and Paramount Media Networks, said in a statement. “The show’s ambition is only exceeded by its execution, and I thank the incredible creative team behind it… for turning this into such a success.”
A writer’s room is already being assembled for Season 3. In the meantime, the second season is set to debut on March 24th, 2023.
