SHOWTIME CANCELS LET THE RIGHT ONE IN

Posted on: February 6th, 2023

In the wake of the news that Showtime will be integrated with Paramount+, horror series Let the Right One In has been cancelled and removed entirely from Showtime’s streaming platforms. The show only ran for one season.

An adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s 2004 novel of the same name, Let the Right One follows Mark (Demián Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Madison Taylor Baez) whose lives were changed forever when, 10 years earlier, she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.

Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Kevin Caroll, Ian Foreman, Jacob Buster, and Nick Stahl also starred in the series, which debuted last year. Andrew Hinderaker executive produced and served as showrunner.

Deadline, which broke the news of the cancellation, notes that the removal of Season 1 from Showtime’s platforms was done to allow the series to be taken elsewhere. We’ll keep you posted if we see any movement.
