Shark Movie In The Deep Lands a Director

Posted on: August 14th, 2015

If Syfy have taught us anything, it’s that we all love a good shark movie. In 2014 Sony Pictures won a bidding battle to gain the rights to In The Deep, a film that is being described as a cross between 127 Hours and Jaws; a bit like Open Water then? The director of Orphan, Jaume Collet-Serra, has been tapped as the director and the script has been written by Anthony Jaswinski (Vanishing on 7th Street).

The idea of being stranded in the middle of the ocean is a terrifying concept on its own, let alone with a great white shark standing in the way of you and the shore. That is exactly what happens to a young woman, played by Shake Lively, when she heads to an island. Unlucky.
