Beetlejuice 2 is unquestionably one of the most anticipated sequels in recent history. 35 years of “maybes” and false starts have all led to this, and fans are eager to soak up any titbit of information now that it’s finally before the cameras.

This past week fans were sent into quite the flurry of excitement when images surfaced from the Beetlejuice 2 set. So far, we’ve only gotten a fleeting glimpse of returning star Winona Ryder as Lydia Deetz from afar, but this more recent leak gives us a much better look and then some.

Not only are we privy to a much more detailed look at Ryder’s Gothic garb, but we also get our first look at Jenna Ortega as her as-yet-unnamed daughter. News of Ortega’s casting lit an even bigger fire under the project, and until now the actress has remained out of sight, leaving fans to speculate what the daughter of Lydia Deetz will look like.

Now we have our answer, as another candid image from the set shows Ortega in high spirits whilst swathed in a pink wedding gown. The intriguing images open up multiple questions about Ortega’s character and the film’s plot.

A further image shows us a much better look at the faithful recreation of the iconic Deetz home. This time tented in black mesh to mimic night shooting indoors, the home is undoubtedly the pinnacle of the production team’s exact recreation of Burton’s 1988 town.

Releasing on September 6th 2024. Beetlejuice 2 will see the return of original cast members Michael Keaton and Catherine O’Hara alongside Ryder. A slew of talent has also been secured for new characters including Willem Dafoe, Justin Theroux, and Monica Bellucci.

Easily the most anticipated film of Burton’s career, we are on the look out for any further updates on Beetlejuice’s long-awaited return, watch this space!
