See the full list of Saturn Awards nominations

Posted on: February 26th, 2016

Saturn2The nominations for the 42nd annual Saturn Awards have just been announced via a live stream on Youtube. Founded in 1972 by film historian Dr. Donald A. Reed, The Saturn Awards and Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror were established to recognise those films all-too-often overlooked by the more mainstream awards. The first Saturn awards ceremony took place in 1974.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Star Wars: The Force Awakens dominates, receiving 15 nominations, with Mad Max: Fury Road and Crimson Peak each receiving 9. The Walking Dead is nominated for 7 awards, while Game of Throes gets 5.

In case you missed the announcements, here is a selected list of nominations. And if you’ve got the time, you can watch the full announcements below. The 42nd Saturn Awards will take place in June.
