Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not) are bringing us our first Scream film in over a decade—and the first trailer reveals that this time, the killer is bumping off victims related to the original killers!
Set 25 years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, Scream sees a new killer donning the Ghostface mask and targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past. Neve Campbell is returning as Sidney Prescott, with David Arquette, Courteney Cox, and Marley Shelton reprising the roles of Dewey Riley, Gale Weathers, and Judy Hicks respectively.
New to the cast for this instalment are Jack Quaid (Tragedy Girls), Melissa Barrera (In The Heights) and Jenna Ortega (The Babysitter: Killer Queen), Dylan Minnette (Don’t Breathe), Mason Gooding (Booksmart), Kyle Gallner (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Jasmin Savoy Brown (The Leftovers), and Mikey Madison (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood). The screenplay was written by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) and Guy Busick (Castle Rock), with Chad Villella producing.
