The world can’t get enough of Jenna Ortega, it seems.
Since establishing her career in leading roles with 2020’s The Babysitter: Killer Queen, the actress has gone from strength to strength. Be it headlining two Scream movies, bagging the titular role in Netflix’s Wednesday, or her upcoming appearance in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Ortega is inescapable.
Now she’s set for another career high, as reliable sources are reporting Ortega is in final negotiations to headline J.J. Abram’s latest endeavour.
Described as a “secret project,” the Warner Bros based production will pair Ortega with another of Hollywood’s hottest talents, Glen Powell.
Although precious little is known about the project, sources have stressed that this is not the time-travel tale Abram’s has also been working on.
Expected to be tied to the horror/sci-fi genres, the Abram’s project will undoubtedly further Ortega’s burgeoning reputation as a Scream Queen.
The actress will next be seen in the highly-anticipated sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, releasing on September 6th after debuting at the Venice Film Festival. Following this, Ortega has teamed up with A24 for Death of a Unicorn, a dark comedy co-starring Paul Rudd.
So, we’re set to see a lot more of Jenna Ortega.
