Ready or Not star Samara Weaving is easily one of the most iconic faces of modern horror cinema.
With a genre filmography that’s in the double digits, it’s safe to say she’s earned her Scream Queen crown.
Now, Weaving is set to dive back into the genre with a leading role in the environmental horror flick Hivemind.
Said to contain elements of sci-fi, eco-terror, and nature-strikes-back, Hivemind focuses on a new breed of deadly wasp, and the small-town authorities battling to prevent a global outbreak.
Eli and Sinister 2 filmmaker Ciaran Foy directs, from a script by Pete Gaffney, which Badlands purchased last year.
Succession star Nicholas Braun will co-star alongside Weaving; however, their roles remain undisclosed.
Production is currently underway in Dublin, Ireland, with a 2027 release expected.
Amazon MGM have snapped up Hivemind for distribution, which they will send directly to their Prime Video streaming service.
So, will Hivemind see Ms. Weaving getting stung? Or will she once again emerge victorious, as she so often does?
