To celebrate Scream Factory’s 4 year anniversary it has announced a new 2-disc Blu-ray Collector’s Edition of John Carpenter’s The Thing. So, prepare your wallets. If you’re in North America, Canada or own a region-free Blu-ray player, that is.
Scream Factory promise new artwork, extras and more, so it will definitely be worth snatching up even if you already own 3 different versions of the film. On its Facebook page, Scream Factory has confirmed that the reverse image will be the iconic, original theatrical artwork by Drew Struzan. What will be on the front? We shall have to wait and see. The edition will be released at some point in September, so you have plenty of time to get excited and save your pennies or cents.
