With a viral trailer under their belt, the hype train is well and truly moving on the sixth Scary Movie instalment.
However, following the trailer’s release, many found it odd that a teaser poster did not accompany the clip.
Now, we have our first poster for the sixth instalment, and to say it’s a genius piece of marketing would be quite the understatement.
Always a series on the public zeitgeist, Scary Movie didn’t skip a beat, taking advantage of Amy Madigan’s Oscar win for Weapons to promote themselves.
In the brand-new poster, Scary Movie’s iconic Ghostface parody villain can be seen, doing an uncanny impression of Madigan’s iconic Aunt Gladys character.
Complete with a red bobbed wig, glasses, and a slathering of grotesque make-up, we must say that Ghostface has never looked better!
Topping off the hilarious poster is the perfect tagline; “Aunt you Gladys I’m back?”
Now, that’s some clever marketing!
Scary Movie will see the return of numerous cast members from the 2000 original, including Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Cheri Oteri, Lochlyn Munro, and Dave Sheridan.
Expected to be a parody of horror legacy sequels, the movie will see an old face return from the past to wreak hilarious havoc once more.
Scary Movie is set to hit theatres on June 5th 2026, and you can revisit the first trailer below:
