It is fast becoming the horror event of the year (or decade) and now you will be able to see It on the biggest screen possible, because It is coming to IMAX. Even though It was not shot on IMAX cameras – so you won’t get the full experience associated with IMAX – it will still be intense and terrifying to see the film on a huge screen with the best sound possible.
Synopsis:
A group of young kids face their biggest fears when they seek answers to the disappearance of children in their hometown of Derry, Maine. They square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.
The IMAX news broke on Instagram when producer Barbara Muschietti posted a picture that read simply, “IMAX, BABY”. Check it out here.
Directed by Mama director Andy Muschietti, It stars Sophia Lillis, Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Javier Botet, Nicholas Hamilton, Owen Teague and, of course, Bill Skarsgard.
It will explode on to our screens on 8th September.
