Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures are bringing us the tenth instalment in the Saw franchise next year, and the cast is really starting to fill out! This week brings four new additions: Renata Vaca (Midnight Family), Paulette Hernandez (Crown of Tears), Joshua Okamoto (Control-Z), and Octavio Hinojosa (Come Play With Me).
They join the previously announced Synnøve Macody Lund (Ragnarok), Steven Brand (The Sandman), and Michael Beach (Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story). Excitingly, franchise star Tobin Bell is also back for the as-yet-untitled Saw 10, with Shawnee Smith in talks to reprise the role of Amanda Young.
Per Lionsgate: “The return of Tobin Bell to the franchise furthers Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ goal of a film that captures everything Saw fans love about the franchise, while also keeping them guessing with all-new traps and a new mystery to solve.”
Kevin Greutert is back in the director’s chair for Saw 10, having previously directed the excellent Saw VI and the fun Sav: The Final Chapter. Greutert has been involved in the franchise from the beginning, having edited the first five films and Jigsaw.
Saw 10 is slated to release on October 27th, 2023, just in time for Halloween. Let the games begin…
