Director F. Javier Gutierrez (Before The Fall) has confirmed that a trailer for Rings will land this week in a tweet that tells us to “stay tuned”. The tweet was posted on 17th August and the hashtag #sevendays should mean that it will land on 24th August; so not long now!
Rings will be the third film in the US Ring trilogy and will see the return of Samara and her cursed video tape. With Sadako vs Kayako screening at the weekend’s FrightFest in the UK, this week is shaping up to be a J-Horror spooky one and we’re very much looking forward to it.
It’s been 11 years since Ring 2, so we’re definitely due another addition. I’m a huge fan of The Ring and would argue that it’s equally as impressive as Japan’s Ringu. The second one, not so much, so let’s hope the third will be an improvement.
Keep your eyes peeled on the 24th for the much-anticipated Rings trailer.
