Although he hasn’t quite signed on to direct yet, Sam Raimi is in talks to direct a new heist thriller set during a tornado. The film is looking to get off the ground over at Warner Bros, who you may remember brought the Sarah Wayne Callies-starrer Into the Storm to our screens back in 2014. That was not quite the exciting action romp we were hoping for, but perhaps a Sam Raimi-helmed endeavour will be more up our alley.
Warner Bros are currently searching for a screenwriter for the film which was originally titled Stormfall; the story will follow a thief and his mentor as they attempt to carry out a heist while a tornado is raging. If Raimi does not serve as the film’s director he will, most likely, be on-board as a producer.
