Director Robert Eggers (The Witch, The Lighthouse) is directing a remake of the 1922 silent classic Nosferatu, and the cast is really starting to build out! The latest addition? Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Nocturnal Animals)!
Other recent additions to the cast include Ralph Ineson (The Witch) and Simon McBurney (The Conjuring 2). They join Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse), Bill Skarsgård (It), Nicholas Hoult (The Menu), Emma Corrin (The Crown), and Lily-Rose Depp (Silent Night).
Reportedly, the film will be set in 19th-century Germany and will document the obsession between a haunted young woman (Depp) and the ancient Transylvanian vampire (Skarsgård) who stalks her, bringing untold horror in his wake. In addition to directing, Eggers wrote the script.
Production on Nosferatu is currently underway in Prague.
