We are saddened to hear that actor Clu Gulager has passed away at the age of 93.
Gulager appeared in countless genre films over the years, including A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, in which he played Mr Walsh, Jesse’s father. Horror fans may best remember him as Burt in 1985’s The Return of the Living Dead, where he tried in vain to help contain the zombie outbreak with the help of a local mortician, only to make the situation significantly worse.
Gulager’s other horror credits include From a Whisper to a Scream, The Initiation, The Hidden, Uninvited, and Puppet Master 5: The Final Chapter. He also appeared in his son John Gulager’s Feast movies and Piranha 3DD.
He will be missed.
