RESIDENT EVIL’S TRAILER HEADS BACK TO BEGINNING

Posted on: October 16th, 2021

Discover the origin of evil…

Intended to kick off a new universe inspired by storylines and characters from Captom’s iconic games, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is returning to the series’ roots—and the trailer doesn’t disappoint!

Directed by Johannes Roberts (The Strangers: Prey at Night), the upcoming film is set in the titular Raccoon City—once the booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland, one with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, the townspeople are forever… changed… and a small group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.

Kaya Scodelario (Crawl) and Robbie Amell (The Babysitter) star as Claire and Chris Redfield. The cast also includes Hannah John-Kamen (Black Mirror), Tom Hopper (Black Sails), Avan Jogia (Zombieland: Double Tap), Neal McDonough (1922), Lily Gao (Chapelwaite), Josh Cruddas (Anything for Jackson), and Donal Logue (Silent Night).

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City attacks theaters in the US on November 24th ahead of its UK release on December 3rd. Don’t miss the trailer below, which is full of cool creature effects!
