A few days ago it was announced that CW would not be doing a reboot of the popular 80s horror anthology series Tales of the Darkside, but a few cable and digital outlets have put their hands up and said they would like to give the show a revamp.
The Tales of the Darkside reboot, written by author Joe Hill (Horns) and produced by Alex Kurtzman (Star Trek) and Roberto Orci (Sleepy Hollow), might not have been picked up by The CW Network, but Syfy, MTV, VH1 and Hulu have all shown interest in the project.
Apparently none of the networks have yet seen the pilot of the show, but considering the notoriety of the original show, they’re interested without. The CW said they passed on the reboot as they had concerns over the anthology format.
Although this news has been announced, it doesn’t mean any of these networks have picked up the project yet, as they’re probably still waiting to see the pilot first. However, we will wait in the dark shadows, waiting to enter the Tales of the Darkside with everyone else.
