Rebecca Breeds (The Originals, Pretty Little Liars) will play the title role in the pilot of Clarice, CBS’s upcoming series continuing the story of iconic character Clarice Starling. The role was made famous by Jodie Foster in 1991’s The Silence of the Lambs, with Julianne Moore playing Starling in the 2001 film Hannibal.
Set in 1993, one year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs, Clarice will explore the untold personal story of Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial killers and sexual predators, all while navigating the high-stakes politics of Washington, D.C. Hannibal Lecter is not expected to appear in the series.
