Directed and co-written by Jay Baruchel, who also produced and co-starred in the film, Random Acts of Violence has revealed a cool new poster ahead of its summer release.
The film follows Todd, the creator of the popular Slasherman comic series, who embarks on a press tour along with his publisher, girlfriend, and assistant to promote the final issue. But Slasherman was inspired by a string of real unsolved murders… And as Todd returns to the town where it all began, new slayings that look eerily familiar seem to follow in his wake.
We reviewed the film following its world premiere at Fantastic Fest last year, praising its impressive gore and discomforting themes. It’s an unrelentingly violent flick with a deeper message buried beneath all the blood.
Random Acts of Violence was based on the graphic novel of the same name by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray. Jesse Williams (The Cabin in the Woods), Jordana Brewster (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning), and Niamh Wilson (Saw III) star.
