Pure Flix has acquired the rights to Welcome to Mercy, a supernatural thriller that follows a woman who discovers that she’s been afflicted with stigmata.
Synopsis:
When a single mother begins to experience symptoms of the stigmata, she seeks the help of a local priest and nun to help her understand what is seen and unseen.
Welcome to Mercy has been directed by Tommy Bertelsen (Feed) and stars Lily Newmark, Sophia Massa as ‘Willow’, Eileen Davies and Kristin Ruhlin.
“We are excited to be teaming up with Ron Gell and everyone at Pure Flix/Quality Flix. Ron and I have known each other for a long time and it’s exciting to be working together to introduce the buyers at TIFF to a new look at a faith-based psychological horror film,” Scream producer Cary Granat said.
