Director Darren Lynn Bousman announced on Twitter this week that production has wrapped on the new Saw movie, which is being touted as an expansion of the franchise’s universe.
Based on an idea by actor and comedian Chris Rock, who also stars in the flick, this will be the ninth film in the Saw series. Samuel L. Jackson, Max Minghella, Nazneen Contractor, and Marisol Nichols also star. We’re still keeping our fingers crossed that Tobin Bell will make an appearance, even if it’s just a cameo.
The film doesn’t have an official title yet, but it’s slated to hit theatres on May 15th, 2020.
