From director Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane), Predator prequel Prey is set to release sometime this summer—and we’ve got some new details to share with you today courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter!
In a recent interview with the site, 20th Century Studios president Steve Asbell notes that the need to create a high volume of content for streaming allows them to experiment with“bold takes” on beloved properties and franchises. “You can take big creative swings,” Asbell explain, “which you’ll see with Prey, which we’ll launch this summer. A Predator movie set in the Great Plains in 1719 by Dan Trachtenberg. That’s what this allows us to do.”
Amber Midthunder (Legion) stars in Prey as a Comanche woman who goes against gender norms and traditions to become a warrior when a Predator first visits our planet. More details as we hear them.
