It’s been a long time coming, but Dan Trachtenberg’s Emmy-nominated Predator prequel is finally coming to physical media!
Initially released on July 21 2022, the Hulu-original movie met with critical acclaim and huge numbers for the streaming service.
The movie follows a young Comanche girl in 1700s America, bored with the duties expected of her, she longs to hunt and be treated like her male counterparts. She gets her wish when a Predator besieges their community and she is forced into the fight of her life with the alien being.
Following the hugely positive response, and the fact it was part of an established franchise, fans assumed a physical media release would soon follow, eager to complete their collections. However, no word came, and it has taken thirteen months to finally get an announcement.
Following Prey garnering four Emmy nominations, including Best Television Film and Best Director, the folks at Disney have finally decided to bless us with not only a blu-ray edition of the prequel, but also a 4K Steelbook! Even better, it is loaded with special features.
