The Mark Wahlberg-starrer Home Invasion has landed a director in the form of Patrick Hughes (Red Hill, The Expendables 3). Home Invasion follows a contractor (Wahlberg) and his wife who suffers from a rare illness that stops her from going out in sunlight. When a gang of criminals invade their home, they are forced to protect their house and themselves.
The film has been described as “Panic Room meets Die Hard”, so that sounds rather promising. There have been some great home invasion thrillers lately, so it has a lot to compete with. You’re all in for a special treat when Don’t Breathe hits screens next month.
Home Invasion’s script comes from Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners), who is the scribe of the upcoming Friday the 13th film which is still looking for a director.
