Paranoia Reigns in the Trailer for It Comes at Night

Posted on: May 3rd, 2017

It Comes at Night has received excellent early buzz since premiering at the Outlook Film Festival in April and many are pitching it as the best horror film of 2017. From what we’ve seen so far, it does look like an excellent, claustrophobic and quietly threatening indie thriller that could easily be this year’s The Witch.

The film stars Joel Edgerton as a man protecting his family in their secluded home while an infection rages outside. When another family seeks safety, their protection is put to the test as the paranoia heightens and the outside dangers edge ominously closer.

Check out the impressive trailer below. It shows the increasing tension and paranoia between the two families as they struggle to survive as a unit, unsure of whom they can trust. It looks like a combination of the atmospheric debut from Robert Eggers, The Witch, as well as a touch of The Thing and 28 Days Later.

It Comes at Night will be released in the USA on 9th June, releasing soon after in Australia and New Zealand on 25th June 2017.
