Osgood Perkins’ latest horror movie Gretel & Hansel will be released early next year, and the director is already embarking down a creepy new path. He’s been tapped to write and direct the supernatural horror film Incident At Fort Bragg for Lionsgate.
The film was inspired by the true story of Malachi Martin, an Irish Catholic priest who, under the orders of the U.S. government, performed a sanctioned exorcism on a young soldier. The incident took place at the Army’s famous Fort Bragg base.
Jeff Buhler (Pet Sematary) also worked on the script, with Evan Turner and Harrison Query writing an earlier version. Perkins’ previous films include The Blackcoat’s Daughter and I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House.
