ORIGINAL “HALLOWEEN” TRILOGY WILL RETURN TO THEATRES THIS SEPTEMBER

Posted on: September 4th, 2026

Spooky season is just around the corner, and Trancas International Films are taking full advantage of that chill in the air.

With Halloween: The Game set to release very soon, Trancas are partnering with the AMC theatre chain to bring the film franchise back to the big screen.

In a lucrative move to promote the upcoming video game, it has been revealed that the first three Halloween movies will be hitting theatres again.

September 4th will see 1978’s Halloween return to the AMC chain, which has been a yearly tradition from Trancas since 2013.

However, changing things up this year, September 5th has 1981’s Halloween II hitting the screen. This will mark the first time in decades Rick Rosenthal’s classic sequel has played to a wide audience.

Finally, 1982’s Halloween III: Season of the Witch will be joining the festivities on September 6th. This divisive stand-alone sequel remains the only Halloween entry not to feature the series’ iconic villain Michael Myers. Much like Halloween II, it’s been many years since Season of the Witch has played in theatres, thus this event has caused much excitement among the fandom.

The AMC event is brought to us by Halloween: The Game, acting as a huge promotional push for the video game, due to launch on September 9th.

For those unaware that there’s a video game on the horizon, undoubtedly, this huge theatrical event will drive that home. However, given the already palpable hype, Halloween: The Game looks set to be quite the success.

Will you be seeing either one of these classic movies on the big screen? Check your local AMC listings to see if there’s a show in your area.

Happy viewing!
