Can you believe it’s been 45 years since Ridley Scott terrified us with Alien?

45 years, and the Xenomorph still brings chills to the spines of millions! Just check out this new image from Alien: Romulus.

On August 16th, Don’t Breathe filmmaker Fede Alvarez will bring the Alien series back to theatres with his highly anticipated sequel.

Originally set to be a Hulu Original Film, Alien: Romulus was gifted a wide theatrical release off the back of the streaming success of the Predator reboot Prey. Set in between Ridley Scott’s 1979 original and James Cameron’s 1986 sequel, Alien: Romulus is described as follows:

“While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

A first-look teaser in March quickly went viral, proving there is still an enormous appetite for the series out there.

Romulus stars a plethora of up-and-coming actors, including; Cailee Spaeny, Spike Fearn, Aileen Wu, and Archie Renaux. Alvarez penned the script alongside Rodo Sayagues, with series Godfather Ridley Scott on board producing, after a rough cut of the film landed his seal of approval.

Once again, Alien Romulus releases August 16th 2024, and remember; In the theatre, everyone can hear you scream!
