Sometimes horror goes to very strange places and takes such unexpected turns that one just must roll with it. With the influx of announcements and new movies of late, it takes a unique announcement to make fans sit up and take notice… And Behaviour Interactive’s announcement that Nicolas Cage is joining Dead by Daylight might just be the one.
Yes, you read that right, Nicolas Cage is joining the insanely successful horror-survival game as a playable character, in a move that is entirely unexpected, but has delighted fans nonetheless.
In a tweet announcing the actor’s involvement, Behaviour Interactive shared a short video of Cage reciting the lines “there’s nothing more powerful than imagination, we can shape the fabric of reality, transforming everything you think you know.” Underneath Cage’s narration we see quick glimpses of the new map the actor’s inclusion will also reveal. Finally, a perfectly rendered CGI Cage steps towards the camera with a smirk.
Currently having been viewed over 2 million times, fans are quite obviously excited by this news and ready for some new Dead by Daylight content. Cage may seem an unexpected choice initially, but one then recalls his influx of horror movies in the last decade. Mandy, Mom and Dad, Willy’s Wonderland and Renfield all netted the actor a considerable amount of acclaim.
