Nicholas McCarthy’s The Prodigy has a release date now set for 8th February 2019. Originally titled Descendent, the film will follow a young mother who believes there is something supernatural affecting her son.
McCarthy’s previous horror endeavours include 2012’s The Pact, 2014’s At The Devil’s Door and, my personal favourite segment from the anthology Holidays, Easter.
Synopsis:
Pulling from The Omen and Bad Seed, the feature tells the story of a young mother who, concerned about her 8-year-old son’s disturbing behaviour, thinks something supernatural may be affecting him.
The Prodigy stars Orange is the New Black’s Taylor Schilling, Fear The Walking Dead’s Jackson Robert Scott, It Stains the Sands Red’s Brittany Allen, Peter Mooney and Colm Feore.
