HBO has just dropped a new teaser trailer for its upcoming horror-drama series Lovecraft Country, and if it’s not already, this show should definitely be on your radar!
Based on Matt Ruff’s 2016 novel of the same name, the series follows Atticus, his friend Letitia, and his Uncle George as they travel across 1950’s America in search of Atticus’s missing father. What follows is a struggle to survive and overcome the racist horrors of white America—and monsters so terrifying they could have been ripped from the pages of an H.P. Lovecraft paperback.
Showrun and executive produced by Misha Green (Helix), Lovecraft Country stars Jonathan Majors (The Last Black Man in San Francisco), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Birds of Prey), and Michael Kenneth Williams (The Purge: Anarchy). Jordan Peele, J.J. Abrams, Bill Carraro, Yann Demange, Daniel Sackheim, and David Knoller also executive produce.
