Big news today, people. Ryan Murphy has confirmed that the new season of American Horror Story is going to be the Murder House/Coven crossover that we’ve eager to see for years. On Twitter, the showrunner said:
“The Coven/Murder House AHS crossover season won’t be happening next year…because it’s happening THIS YEAR. AHS #8 WITCHES RULE THIS SEPTEMBER”
This is such a shock, because it was earlier teased that season 8 would be set in the future and possibly titled Radioactive. We do know that Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman, Joan Collins, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters have roles in the new series, so there will be new faces among the old from Murder House and Coven.
I stand firmly by the view that Murder House is the best season of American Horror Story, so I am extremely excited to see how a crossover with Coven (which is also great) is managed. I suppose we don’t have long to wait, because season 8 is due to air this autumn.
