It’s always worrying when a film gets constantly pushed back from release and it seems as though Fox’s New Mutants is suffering this fate. Originally scheduled for release this April, the film was pushed back until February 2019, and it has now been pushed even further back to 2nd August 2019.
With no reason given as to why it has been pushed back, our minds can only jump to the worst case scenario. Is it really that bad? Is it being hidden on purpose? Why does the studio appear to have no faith in its New Mutants?
Only time will tell. At this point, it’ll be surprising to see the film released theatrically at all.
Synopsis:
Five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, fight to escape their past sins and save themselves.
The New Mutants comes from The Fault in Our Stars director Josh Boone and stars Maisie Williams, Anya-Taylor Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Henry Zaga and Blu Hunt. The film will be released on 2nd August 2019. Hopefully.
