The new film is written and directed by Kurt Wimmer (Equilibrium, Ultraviolet) and is said to bear little resemblance to the short story. Set in a small town in Nebraska, the film will see a psychopathic 12-year-old girl recruiting all the other children to murder their parents and “heal the corn.” The town’s only hope of survival is a smart teenager who won’t go along with the plan.
Elena Kampouris (Before I Fall), Kate Moyer (Our House), Callan Mulvey (300: Rise of an Empire), and Bruce Spence (Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior) star in Children of the Corn, which doesn’t have a release date just yet. In the meantime, check out these stills and behind-the-scenes shots!
