You want an exciting description? Jared Cohn’s supposedly true-life serial killer tale Death Pool is billed in the promotional materials as a “…sexy, spine-chilling fusion of American Psycho and Maniac”. Time will tell on that one, but before the film’s home release later this month, you can get a taste of what’s on offer with this new trailer, which comes to us together with a new poster and a few stills.
Cohn (Little Dead Rotting Hood, The Horde) wrote and directed the film, which stars Randy Wayne (Hellraiser: Judgement), Sara Malakul Lane (Kickboxer : Vengeance), Demetrius Stear (Evil Nanny) and Shawn C. Phillips (Ghostquake). Also appearing is Hate Crime/Bethany director James Cullen Bressack.
Here’s the official synopsis:
After nearly drowning at the hands of his babysitter, a troubled young man grows up to become a serial killer with a compulsion to drown young beautiful women. Based on true events, this conniving killer becomes a cultural phenomenon, known throughout the streets of Los Angeles.
Death Pool washes up on DVD and VOD on June 20th, from MTI Home Video.
