Each year, the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival fosters a lurid leitmotif and this year is no different.
Now in its 35th year, 2016 is all about mutations and that can only mean one thing: body horror. So, with The Fly celebrating its 30th anniversary, the festival couldn’t pass up the opportunity to design a poster paying tribute to Cronenberg’s metamorphosis masterpiece, which in fact screened at Terror Molins back in 1987.
Returning, for the fifth year on the trot, is the poster’s designer, Maite Pascual, who really laid down the gauntlet for herself again, eager to surpise us all:
“This year has been a real can of worms. I really wanted to create something unique and alternative that we’re not used to seeing when it comes to horror festival poster designs. And, most importantly, I hope it makes a loud and proud statement that the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival is a festival to be reckoned with.”
Make a date in your diary for the Molins de Rei Horror Film Festival, now even bigger and better, running all of 9 days from Friday 11th through Sunday 20th November, 2016. Be there and be scared…
