Teasers for Split follow, so stop reading if you haven’t seen M. Night Shyamalan’s latest!
It has been long teased that M. Night Shyamalan was working on a sequel to 2002’s almost-superhero film Unbreakable, and now, the director has taken to Twitter to confirm that he has an 11-page outline. He doesn’t explicitly state that it is for Unbreakable 2, but hints that those who’ve seen Split can guess what his next film will be:
“I have an 11 page outline for my next film in my bag. I can’t tell you what it is, but If you’ve seen #Split…”
The end of Split could be one of M. Night Shyamalan’s greatest twists yet. The final moments of the film revealed that Split is set in the same universe as Unbreakable, with Bruce Willis’ David Dunn hanging out in a coffee shop where a TV report is covering the news about James McAvoy’s The Horde. It was a completely unexpected revelation and I can’t decide whether I love it or hate it. One this is for sure, and that’s that I can’t wait to see what happens in Split 2/Unbreakable2.
